Suffice it to say, that these are the “best and brightest” of the LOCAL SEO experts around and if you take the time to attend and listen and digest, you’ll come away with much more knowledge than you brought to the event too!
And yes I do know that this is a register & pay for a membership site – but the overall arc of the knowledge you’d receive is without question the best in LOCAL search by far!
You’re a small SMB owner – say you’re a lawyer who has just hung out your shingle or a locksmith working out of your first ever retail store or a Mom & Pop sandwich shop and you’re thinking that this online world may be the way to get you some new customers or clients. Good thought!
And you realize that there’s already other legal firms out there in your city or other locksmith shops or sandwich stores and that as the “new” kid in town, you’re going to have to compete with them. So your next thought would be you wonder how they’re “doing” in the online world. Second good thought!
And finally, you know that if you can figure out what “already in the market” competitors are doing, you can copy that strategy to get a foothold at least in the local search world. Great final thought…but…how can you find out who else is “on the field” that you’d be ccmpeting against?

I’ve personally been one of those Local Search experts for 4 years and I can tell you, this is a very detailed, very focused survey.
I received just yesterday, the email mission that I’ve been a part of now for 4 years….yes, I got the call to help as one of the 2014 Local Search Ranking Factors study, originally created by David Mihm, now of moz.com – and I am once again delighted! And, worried too.
Originally started back in 2008, the rationale behind the study was put in the following manner by David…
It’s with great pleasure that I can now announce that David Mihm’s latest survey, the 2011 Local Search Ranking Factor study is published today!
And why with “great pleasure?” Simple….big smile here…because this year for the first time, I was asked to participate in same, eh!
