fridayYup, been chumming the search engine waters looking for links and citations and working hard at figuring out what to do with the recent move from Google re: title lengths and pixel counts for same.

So yes, I haven’t had much time to just plain surf for infographics but the following twosome work pretty well.

What I mean by that should also be looked at with a raised eyebrow…in that the two items I’m recommending you click on to learn more, only one is really an infographic so let’s start with that one, shall we?

puzzleOver at www.vayumedia.com there is a great new big infographic entitled “The SEO Puzzle” and it’s a doozy! Take a long hard look at same as it captures every single item we know and use on a daily basis for our own SEO client roster. Well, we have a couple more too to be totally honest and it’s not so much that they probably don’t list these items, it’s that if they’re like us – an SEO Agency – then they “hold back” some of the items that they developed themselves. We do. And I’m pretty sure that most SEO practitioners do too!

As you probably already know, any SEO Program is concerned with on-page optimizations and off-page optimizations and then add in the phrases “content is king” and “socila media” too…and what you’ve got is a working model to follow. This infographic outlines succinctly those items and then even lists where the authors think the puzzle pieces fit together in the hard-to-envision social media area too. Don’t miss the part about Reputation Management…there’s some nice nuggets in there to remind you of the variety of same. I like the infographic as you can tell, and it’s well worth the click to see how others have their own take on SEO so do click the link!

google+And then there’s this Infographic that’s not really an infographic in the true sense of the term. Over in the UK, there’s an online insurance company – www.simplybusiness.co.uk – that occasionally publishes sort-of infographics that help SMB owners find a way to get something done – but has nothing to do with insurance. The one that caught my eye was their 21 steps to using Google+ entitled “The Small Business Guide to Google+” and it’s a great way to both pass along knowledge at the same time giving you step-by-step instructions on same.

Simply read the first step which is a simple question – “Do you know why you should be active on Google+?” If you know why, then go to the next step…if you don’t you click on the NO button and you’re presented with a small popup that gives you links to help you learn the answer to that question. You can cherry pick on any of the infographic questions and see the popup windows with their links anytime…and it takes you through the four steps they offer – Setup, Integration, Engagement and More – and it does so quite neatly.

Of course, there’s more, eh! Clicking on the logo will take you to their Insurance site and it looks like they offer up all kinds etc etc but then  further click on their “Knowledge and Community” button will take you through to many more varied business guides – I especially liked their one entitled “Guide to Google Analytics” as it shows off again a step-by-step series of YES/NO questions that popup those same type of links to learn more. And if you’re like most clients looking to learn more, it’s real aid to see it all spelled out for you to learn your way into doing a great SEO campaign for your own site! Again, well worth the click!
