Tools: What Every SEO Practitioner Needs!

heartOkay, these URLs have been sitting in my SEO > Tools folder for a bit and I thought that I’d share them with you…call it my “Valentines” gift to the SMB world, eh!

Yes, there’s some great ones…as well as some real clinkers. Some are free…some cost something. Some do a really great job…others not so much. Some are pretty specific in their results while others are all over the place…but they all should get a real look/see for you to think on using.

One more note – that like all SEO types, I too use tools. Some of these ones too. But to be really honest here, my own fav’s were built by me – I’m a 40+ year programmer so using VBasic or ASP or .NET or Ruby to build a free-standing desktop tool is still my fav way to go. Sometimes tho, the same results can be had from one of these tools listed here today…but sometimes not, i.e. ymmv…but do give some a look, eh!

wow135 Tools to Boost your Productivity is first up and it comes from a Blog over at wowseosolutions.com and yup, a pretty all encompassing list to start with I belive. So nice to see that the author caught Panguin…love that tool!

Sure helps when I need to take a quick analysis of a potential client’s GA stats in relation to the Google algo updates. Plus they had some I’d never heard of too….so you can learn something here for sure!

andrewFor more on that using another SEO tool, look here at Andrew Shotland’s use of SEMRush.com – Andrew is a solid SEO practitioner with world wide acclaim and if he says SEMRush is a good tool…you’d better click to see what he uses it for too! Another winner here, lads!

mozNother great one is here, from Cyrus over at moz.com and it’s entitled “100 Free SEO Tools & Resources” and yup as always from al the team over at Moz, it’s a winner in it’s own right! Of course, they make tools….right? So for Cyrus to list others, they gotta be worth the click-thru, right?

URLValet at #61 is one of my favs that I liked so much, I made my own using classic ASP and it’s up on our secure server, but there’s tons of others there too for you to work thru…and pick up some winners!

azmAnd a slightly older URL here, that points again at top SEO tools for you to look over….liked this list and thought I’d share it too…and while I don’t know the firm itself, it’s a great list, eh!

Sure, some are the same as others on the other lists but if you think about that it’s a good thing, eh! Anytime you get SEO practitioners all touting the same tool….means it has value to them and their SEO practice…so that’s a method of vetting the value that works, eh!

domainAnd lastly today, not a real live SEO tool, but if you’re like me and often try to come up with a really solid domain name that is both ‘catchy’ and ‘cool’ then maybe the list of the “Top 10 Domain Name Suggestion Tools” over at trafficgenerationcafe.com would be of help…I often drop by a couple on that list and plug in some ideas…to see how the tool ‘spins’ the names for me.

Works.

Works well…..and you should give them a try too!
