Waterdown WildWing Still Sucks!
Okay, by now if you’re a regular here, you know that my wife and I had a horrible experience trying to get a simple order of wings delivered to our house back about 10 weeks ago and yes, I blogged about that right here too under the title (if you need to search for it on Google et al) of “What Bad Customer Service Costs: WildWingSucks.ca” and yes both that blog piece and the site it points to are still up and live and running.
And as you also probably know, I’m somewhat of an online marketing expert so yes, it’s been totally fun to get both that blog piece and it’s matching website up high – #1 in many cases for many keywords – on Google et al too…and that’s also been I hope a real “eye-opener” to anyone who thinks that Customer Service is not so important.
And as well, yes, as you’ll see from the long scrolling page over at http://web.archive.org/web/20131030051905/http://www.wildwingsucks.ca/, my complaints to the company’s Head Office finally did get some notice, then promises that were at first not fulfilled and yet finally, the Head Office (at least as I understood what happened) made their local Waterdown WildWing restaurant send us a cheque for $100.00.
$100.00 for what they deemed to be “…the poor service you received while dining with them…” which while factually incorrect in that we placed a delivery order that was not fulfilled was what really happened, and they went on to say that they also apologized for same. That’s what we were after….the apology for the way that my wife was treated on the phone by someone who was the supposed Manager…sigh. Of course that “apology” letter was from Head Office and not the local Waterdown WildWing Manager or owner…sigh….a sad ending to all this we feel.
In any event, both my wife and I are now happy that the whole “schmozzle” is over…that we were repaid our $9 that we paid for the order for food that was not delivered…and then some extra $ too…for whatever reason I don’t know but I do wonder on that?
Guess if you don’t actually “do” Customer Service…you just send a cheque. Guess that works for this chain…but surely not for the rest of the restaurant world I’d hope. At least it does appear that the offending Waterdown WildWing restaurant was the actual “cheque sender” so I hope this has taught them that you just can’t offend a customer….wait…..nah, I have no doubt at all they could care less.
So….we will never ever order from this horrid chain again….oh…they’ve got good food but NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsoever….and in this millenium we just cant abide with that kind of “cheque-book” service….sigh….Google
