Friday SEO Sharing: Use Color to Attract Leads!
Color. Color as in blue or red or yellow. Color as in what color might I use for my Call-to-Action or my infographic to attract new clicks….and thereby increase the top end of the sales process funnel by gaining new leads. Color as in are there any colors that work better than others? And the short answer is both yes – and no!
So….what do I mean firstly about color and the attributes of same? Well as you know or maybe you don’t, colors contain “built-in” perceptions that are both assumed and passed along by the use of specialized colors for specialized uses….and that’s a great place to start today.
While I don’t know the folks over at genuineseo.com, I did bump into a great blog piece done by them a few days ago, on usage of color for infographics…and much of what they pointed out rang true. I said quite similar conclusions about a year and a half ago here and here it’s nice to see that what I positied then, still rings true. Here’s a short clip of the intro to their blog piece –

As you can see, there is a ton of numbers based on research on color use, so this would well be worth the clickthru to go and see same….oh – and do add this site’s URL to your Bookmarks, eh!

Okay, so color…and psychology? Much of what’s above is on that….but the guys over at webpagefx.com also have a great BIG infographic using seperate colors to define what they’ve researched on color psychology for the major big color wheel tones – red, blue etc. I especially liked learning about the color orange and how it is used as a great call-to-action tone and their examples include everything from Amazon to Hooters….a range that many wouldn’t normally even consider. But great details here and you NEED to go and see same, eh!
Color as we all know, has a positive influence on the viewer…and learning how to use color to get the reaction you want – like clickthru’s and conversions – is a great way to increase your own online marketing skills to increase your own Canadian SEO!
