How “Big” is the SEO World on the Web?
What I mean by that is what kind of statistics that come to light when you look at Google Insights, Google Adwords, Google Trends, Wikipedia, SEOmoz, Search Engine Land and more. Quite a list of knowledgeable sites I think we’d all agree and the numbers that the firm known as Blue Caribu has put into their great infographic here, is pretty cool!
One note tho, it appears that the firm itself, Blue Caribu, is in Madrid, Spain….so their site is yes, in Spanish. Course, as I found their infographic in English, I’d suppose that yes, they do offer up same…but I did not find an online site button on their site to “switch” to an English site version….not a problem, but my Spanish is really limited to ordering up a couple of “cervezas”…but that’s just me!
And the numbers that they come up with are pretty interesting, eh!
Every second, 3.5 people go to Google to look up “SEO,” which means that over a month, that’s 9.1 million search queries on “SEO!” As an SEO practitioner, I think that this would be a good thing to know, as it shows me what kind of a marketing “universe” I work in….
The number of exact search terms used vary…but at 60,000 searches per month “SEO services” is the number one searched term, followed by “SEO company” at 49,000 monthly and “SEO tools” at 33,000 monthly searches.
Hmm…seems like I need to perhaps re-think one of our keyword phrases, eh!
And that’s my point today…when you learn something from an infographic – something you didn’t know – it would pay to you listen to those numbers. I’ll be changing up one of our pages to actively reflect that “SEO company” keyword phrase as I’ve not used it for our Canadian SEO site keywords…
Good advice from Madrid, and hopefully advice that if I use same, will get us up a bit more in the rankings and generate more prospective leads!
How’s that for a Fabulous Friday event!
