CBCHamilton News: Hamilton company has payment solution
And todays week-ending blog post is about our Snappay app and coverage of our Top Ten Finalist rankings for the #HamOnt Lion’s Lair 2012 Contest and our CBCHamilton coverage of same.
The CBC here in Hamilton, was charged with the task of doing a write-up of each of us Top Ten Finalists, and yesteday the story that Julia Chapman the CBC reporter did on us appeared here on their site….and what a great piece it is too!
And I will admit that I was just a teensy bit apprehensive when we were asked for this interview – I’ve done this many times over the past 4 decades and have found that when it comes to reporters and their note taking – that something “sometimes” happens to the truth between their steno pad and the printed page. Not this time tho – not at all! Julia made me feel really at ease, and asked all the needed questions to get what she wanted out of me.
I <grin> know that sometimes I do go “off on a tanget” but she got me back on track and got the story she wanted I think with great ease! So #Kudos to Julia for her writing and interview skills! Job well done!
And one more comment to make here on the end of her piece…I was asked “Why should Snappay win” the Lion’s Lair 2012 Contest…and here’s what I said -
“But up against his nine fellow Lion’s Lair finalists, Rudnick said Snappay is one of the few companies that is off the ground and that would make a good investment for the Lions
“The bottom line is we’re out in the market and we can actually compete,” he said…”
As you can see, Julia hit it right on. We are out in the marketplace and yes, we have traction and users and revenues…but will that work to make us one of the winners of this year’s Lion’s Lair 2012?
Do not know. And wont for weeks yet….but we hope that the Lion’s see where we are, and how they can help move us up to the next level. Stay tuned too for more on the competition….we taped yesterday and I’ll write about that this coming Monday….and disssect how I think we did!Google
