Infographic Friday: All About Images!
Okay, you’ve got a website, it’s up and running….and maybe you’re wondering why the traffic to same ain’t so hot…well welcome to the club SMB owner! It should be no surprise that just getting the site up and running is not the “end” of that marketing strategy…the next part of that enterprise is driving traffic to same. And there’s the rub!
While this blog post is not about how to create and develop a full SEO Campaign to drive that traffic, what I wanted to talk about are three great infographics I’ve found to position my own rationale on same, so let’s chat about them in no specific order…
First up today, a wonderful Friday full of promise for a great summer, is a blog infographic from a Florida based Agency I’ve been following for months, now…from MDG and the infographic can be found here.
This is a great way to start off today’s piece, in that first of all, peppered throughout the infographic is the reminder that you must always “get the most from your images!” What the author of this infographic meant can only be really told by getting you to go to that piece and looking at the inforgraphic itself. It’s chock full of items to learn from their notes on “the Pinterest Effect” to how images help Press Releases. Ever scroll Google+? I do constantly and the notices that seem to grab my attention best & for the longest amount of time, are the ones backed up by great images. You too? Thought so….so do give this infographic a click….well worth the read, eh!
Next up is an interesting infographic on why we web users, dislike so much, waiting for content to fill the screen…from a site called Online Graduate Programs and here’s how the author of this rich infographic put it –
“The speed at which the Internet moves has also changed, shifting from a snail’s pace dial-up connection to wide-spread, high speed WiFi. Every day, people conduct more Google searches, update more statuses, and visit more new sites than the day before. In the world of high speed browsing, no one waits for answers. But it seems that a desire for speedy information has made Americans impatient for just about everything…”
As you can see, they claim that we’re all rapidly turning into the “One Click Generation” which in and of itself is a scary thought…..and one that after reading the evidence in this infographic, can’t really be denied, eh! Again, another infographic that is well worth the click!
And lastly up today, is not really an infographic in the true sense of the word, but an “info-video” that I found by accident…and what a find it was! And yes, it’s also from MDG once again…and that’s a nice thing too…
Entitled “Social vs. Search Engine Marketing,” this video here on YouTube, offers up a great look and competition on this ubiquitous question….here’s the prologue from MDG on same –
“Social media and search marketing are becoming more and more integrated as digital marketers realize their collective power for generating leads, building brand awareness, increasing local visibility, and maximizing interactivity. While they continue to prove their value as a potent pair, social and search each have their unique attributes and one often outshines the other in regard to specific online pursuits. To show how social media and search marketing match up to each other, as well as together, for achieving a variety of online advertising objectives, MDG Advertising developed this insightful video infographic…”
As you can see, when you click on that link, this “new” way of using a video as an infographic itself is a great way to show the rationale behind Social vs. SEM…and I loved it! Do you?
Great idea too – bookmark that MDG site…they’re obviously sharing some great content…and you’ll learn much by following them on their blog too!Google
