SMBs: Owning your Own Web Equity!
Mike Blumenthal is one hell of an SEO practitioner, and he’s just released a terrific new infographic on a topic that’s near and dear to all of us SEO types, entitled “Web Equity: Owning your Local Web Presence!”
And what a solid piece of well researched and informative knowledge this is, eh! Credit Mike offers, is due, and this graphic was originally inspired Mike writes, by a Lisa Barone blog post titled 11 Reasons Your SMB Still Needs A Web Site and refined with the help of David Mihm, Mary Bowling and Matt McGee.
Here’s how Mike outlines the thrust of why he created same —
“When presenting at Get Listed Local University we talk with a large number of small business owners. Many that we have met are attempting to understand the big picture of internet marketing and how the pieces relate.
These SMBs are trying to make a decisions amidst the buzz as to where to focus their on-line efforts. The goal of this infographic was to provide a foundation for that understanding from the perspective of long term investment in their marketing efforts. It is not so much a guide to those marketing priorities as it is a guide to understanding the trade offs in loss of control as you move your efforts onto the platforms controlled by others.”
I’ve poured over this image…and read it in it’s entirety from start to finish. It’s solid, dependable, reliable info that any SMB – in fact any SEO practitioner SHOULD read and know…and have that knowledge at one’s ‘beck & call’ to help build a successful process for a successful SEO campaign. It’s that simple and that needed, eh!
Go to Mike’s site. Download the full image (or print it from this .pdf link) and then pour over it yourownself….and learn! This is the best tip I can think of for “dotting all your i’s and crossing all your t’s” when it comes to Local Search, eh!
Thanks, Mike…thanks BIG TIME, eh!Google
