Yahoo/BING Merge Updates: Powered is Up!
For those of you who are following the merge between Yahoo and BING, there is one new development today that is kinda neat-O if you ask me — though its US based at this point only….let me explain….
Here’ s what you can do to test this out yourownself. Go to www.yahoo.com and insert any kind of keyword link….I used “Hamilton web developer” and then click SEARCH. You will most likely see what I see too….shown here below –
Note the red circled area….ALL yahoo.com searches now have the added “Powered by Bing” footnote….small it’s true, but never the less…it’s there from now on!
Of course, we’re canucks, eh? And that means that we’d also do the exact same search in yahoo.ca….and guess what? Here’s what such a search did just moments ago, for the exact same keyword phrase “Hamilton web developer” –
So…as an empirical search shows you as of today, yahoo.ca is NOT yet powered by BING, eh! Please though, do test this one yourownself, as our GTA based results may be skewed….but so far, we’re NOT a full “powered by” BING search site yet, eh!
